Final Broadcast

For this broadcast task the group and I chose to make our small film about a young teenage girl suffering from schizophrenia, to raise awareness. The storyline is that the protangonist suffering from the illness runs out of tablets, knowing that she needs them urgenting she does everything she can to try and get them, but the chemist is shut so theres nothing she can do. So she trys to clear her head when the symptoms of the illness occur and become more frequent so she runs home back to where her tablets we and see's a full box, as it was all in her head. Thinking she could get rid of the illness quicker she takes all the tablets at once, the overdose lead her too death.

This task in my opinion was quite challenging, as in our group we had mixed ideas of what we thought would make a good film. Despite the difficulties we eventually came together as a group when filming and had to work together to make it as good as it can be. I feel the overall outcome was successful, the film was 'emotionally touching' to others in the class, which indicated we got the message across of how hard the illness is to deal with. If I were to go back and improve I would create more of a struggle for the character, by giving her more obstacles to overcome. Not only this but I would also get rid of the music and put sounds in, as this was one of the disagreements we had as a group. In my group I helped create the story line and built the story board I also helped direct the shots and chose the positioning and angle of the frame.
