Final photography idea

Here are the three photographs I started with in order to make my final piece.
One years old.

Eight years old.

18 years old.

For my final idea I decided to portray future memories. I photographed three similar looking girls at ages three, eight and eighteen. All the girls were throwing a ball in the air at different heights from smallest to biggest. The youngest was a solid and the other two girls were slightly faded out, this was to show her in the future and as she grew up she would be able to throw the ball higher. I think this idea worked well as I believe that although it was open for interpretation, I feel the aim of future memories was fairly obvious. The only thing I was not happy with is that I could have cut out the girls on Photoshop better and maybe made them more transparent. I did find this task in some way challenging as I found it hard to come up with something that could portray a future memory of mine, however once came up with my initial ideas and researched more photographers I then came to a final decision. In the final crit it came to light that my final photograph would look better looking back at past memories, which I did as one of my rough edits. If I were to do anything differently I would go back and do the same idea but with different settings and objects to try and explore different colours and scenery.

Final edit.
