For our sound design task, my group and I chose to make a sound journey of our worst fear. We all came to the conclusion that being buried alive is one of all our worst fears. Our journey started from the shutting of the coffin door to waking up in the coffin, to panic and trying to escape then the final release of giving up lit with a cigarette.
I really enjoyed this task as I feel we worked well as a group and we all had the same image of what we wanted the journey to sound like. I feel our journey had a good sense of realism and you can really get a sense of what its like to be in that situation. The only issue is that some off the sounds came accross unclear to others, but overall they understood. The only real challenge in the task was the editing as I have never used the programme before and some of the sounds sounded different on the computer than they did on the recorder, however I eventually worked it out and we created a good final piece that was fairly convincing.
